Is there a link between gum disease and Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)?

There's a definite association of rheumatoid arthritis with gingivitis and periodontal disease. And whether or not this is triggering the immune system is probably the case. It's probably one of the environmental triggers for rheumatoid arthritis and I think this is exciting news.
