What does it mean if I fail a therapy or prescription?

The definition of failing therapy is not as obvious as you would think it is. When someone has very active disease, you start them on something. Then we're using this DAS or different disease scores to help us, but if you improve a lot, do you switch to improve completely, do you take a chance? Eve...

Dr. Michele Meltzer, MD, joined the staff of Thomas Jefferson University in 2007. She is currently working with ILAR (International League of Associations for Rheumatology) East Africa to improve opportunities to learn about rheumatic disease in Africa as well as India. She has been active in rheumatology professional societies including the Philadelphia Rheumatism Society and the American College of Rheumatology.
